What is Hormone Replacement Therapy?
Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) for men aim to restore hormonal balance with hormones that have similar chemical structures to hormones.
Hormones guide our bodies through fundamental function like metabolism, and reproduction. Over time, the production of testosterone and other hormones decline and our bodies function much less efficiently. It can be age, environment or stress. And also, Low testosterone affects nearly 40% of men over 45 and contribute to fatigue, low sex drive, reduced lean muscle mass, irritability, and depression.
Further, according to recent research, most men experience an improvement in symptoms within three to six weeks after starting HRT.
Access to health care, especially specialized medical care, is crucial. Topics like hormonal imbalances are topics that some men find difficult to discuss. Some may see them as a polarizing topics.
