What is Nutrition?
Nutrition is a study on the nutrients in food, how the body uses them, and the relationship between diet, health, and disease.
Nutrition focuses on how people can use their food choices to reduce disease risk, what to do if a person has too much or too little nutrient, and how allergies work.
Nutrients provide nourishment. Proteins, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, minerals, fibre and water are all nutrients. Macronutrients

Water: The adult human body needs up to 60% of water for many processes. Water does not contain calories and does not provide energy.
Micronutrients
Micronutrients are essential in small amounts. They include vitamins and minerals.
Minerals: It is essential for the body to have carbon, hydrogen, oxygen and nitrogen.

Potassium – Potassium is an electrolyte. It allows the kidneys, heart, muscles and nerves to function correctly.
